2026 Can-Am Defender XT HD11 - New - Available in Saint-John

 Here’s what’s new on the 2026 Can-Am Defender HD11 vs the 2025 / prior-gen Defender:

• Engine / Powertrain: The 2026 HD11 gets a totally new 999 cc inline-3 Rotax ACE engine, putting out 95 hp and 70 lb-ft of torque. 

• Transmission: New CVT with a pDrive primary clutch for smoother low-speed control. 

• Drive Modes: Three selectable modes — Normal, Work, Sport — to tailor power delivery. 

• Traction / Differential: New front diff options: XT models get Quick-4Lok auto-locking; Limited / Lone Star / X mr get electronically controlled Smart-Lok. 

• Fuel Capacity: Larger fuel tank — 11.9 gallons — for longer range. 

• Suspension / Chassis: Wider stance (65 in), 50% larger arched double A-arms, double-bonded bushings (less maintenance, quieter), improved ROPS. 

• Ground Clearance / Travel: 15 in clearance, 12 in suspension travel both front and rear. 

• Brakes: Bigger front rotors (262 mm) with twin-piston calipers. 

• Electrical / Power Output: Upgraded charging system — 1,700 W — double the previous generation. 

• Lighting: New LED headlights (~45% more brightness) and LED rear lights with backup lights.

• Maintenance: Easier service access, long service intervals, and lower maintenance costs built into the design.
